CALENDAR FINAL

I want to use 270gsm weight of the g f smith colour plan paper to get a thick but not too thick paper weight. I wanted it thicker than normal paper because if they chose to have it has the flip over calendar then it is nice to have something that is strogn enough to stand up by itself

STREET FEAST FINAL

From my final poster designs I decided to get some quick final feedback on it as a whole. I asked a few peers that had not seen my work before as I wanted to get some fresh eyes on my work to see what new feedback I could recieve from people who had not seen my development throughout. I showed these 4 images :

Feedback gathered -
- all the colours work really well and visually they look great
- the shape in some of them can look a bit overpowering - do you need it
- the font on the turquoise poster is very inviting, friendly and fun which is good for this type of event as it sums up its atmoshere
- maybe rejiggle / have a look back at the composition for the turquoise and orange one ( in relation to the text) recompose it in the way that you would want to catch your eye first - maybe important from top to bottom?

From this I made some small adjustments as shown in my final poster designs below -

PRD - DESIGN DEVELOPMENT/crit

Then I decided to look at development of my mini handout that would go along with the wrap when you purchase it. I decided to call my wrap 'RE-RAP' as 'wrap' has been used before and I wanted to have a fresh new name that hasnt been used before. I chose to use a simple pattern for the background and then have an illustration of a plain wrap on top with the information surrounding it.

I took the above images to a crit and It was suggested to me that I should rethink the type as it the kerning is not quite right and the type isn't a playful. I said in the crit that I wanted my designs to be simple and authentic and the type wasnt fitting with the vibe I wanted. So from this I then decided to look at the typeface and the kerning -

Following this I decided to go with the typeface called Multicolore as it was the most fitting for my brief as it was simple and effective.

PRD - DESIGN DEVELOPMENT/ ideas

As it is reusable wrapping paper I have decided my idea is to be 2 different wraps, both being double sided with different print on each side so that the different wraps can be used for two different occasions. Thus being reusable and sustainable. I then had a crit on this and it was suggested that graduation way maybe not the best one and i should change it to a general pattern as it is more useable for a larger amount of people. Other than they they loved the final idea of it being double sided.

Firstly I looked at the christmas print pattern :

Then I moved on to look pattern -

Then moved on to weddings -

Lastly I looked at birthdays -
