Design Development inside

the views of myself and freya had to be taken into account when designing.

Figure 3 shows a few of the experiments that were carried out, illustrating aspects such as flowers that are commonly used in Kenzo’s fashion pieces alongside patterns such as stripes and block colours.

After an extensive amount of experimentation with different apsects, the Look Book pages were not really matching up as one whole design so a running theme needed to be established in order to create the final outcome. After receiving further feedback the decision to take aspects from each of the separate images for the spread’s background was made. This ranged from the colour scheme to aspects from the clothes that were in each shot.

To complete the Look Book a saddle stich bind was performed using a shoelace from the shoot as the thread, adding another element to the design. As the shoelace was thicker than usual thread so a rotary cutter was used to create the 3.5mm hole.
