Stop Motion Idea In

I had the idea for the start of the Ident that we have a stop motion of the building blocks coming into the shot in a swirling motion.

Stop motion is the traditional cinematographic technique that was first used to give illustrated figures the impression of movement, this would be a fun way to introduce the building blocks that we created. It also looks as if they building blocks are slowly being built into the correct place that they need to be in.

Above are the stop motion images I have put in the order in which they will be in the Ident. This is a slick way of entering the building blocks into the shot without having to just put them there and creates a fun motion for the child audience to view. It is simple yet so effective for the beginning shot to get all the blocks in the correct places.

In order to make sure they were in the correct places we had to match them up perfectly with a photograph that was taken previously. I believe that it was to keep the audience absorbed and engaged with the initial sequence.
